Professional team dedicated to competition, excellence, and sportsmanship. Innovation is a commonly associated word for Sommer Motorsports and its team of dedicated racers, business men and women. The teams formation derives primarily around the driver and business man of, Cody Sommer. However, Sommer is not solely responsible for the creation of Sommer Motorsports. Cody, a third generation driver from Central Illinois brings the modern racer to the table. A racer of marketability and public speaking skills. A racer of eagerness, desire, and resources. The team has grown from its beginning of dirt track racing late models, to the state of the art Nascar Late Model Program. Sommer’s not only has his focus on the Nascar Late Model team, but also on Earnhardt Ganassi Racing in the Sprint Cup Series. Working in the R&D testing department, Sommer’s puts his efforts into helping the team become a winning calibure organization. The Sommer Motorsports team is located in the heart of racing, Mooresville, NC. The area could not be any more resourceful and competitive, hints the name “Race City USA”. Earnhardt Ganassi Racing driver Kevin Hamlin and Sommer Motorsports have an ongoing relationship, where Hamlin contributes his driving when the opportunities arise.
